New Nonpublic School Statistics

The Department of Education’s Office of Non-Public Education released the latest complete edition of the Digest of Education Statistics.

They include:

First-time private school kindergartners’ reading and mathematics average scale scores rose from the Fall 2010 assessment to the Spring 2011 evaluation, 37.9 percent to 52.1 percent and 32.9 percent to 45.8 percent respectively (table 135).

A relatively stable 54 percent of grade four Catholic students attended every day of school in the last month as noted in 2002, 2009, and 2011 (table 187).
