Each year since 2001, more than 40,000 students have been able to choose their school because of Educational Improvement Tax Credits (EITC). EITC provides a tax credit to businesses that contribute to organizations that give scholarships to students to attend the school of their choice.

Not sure what EITC has to do with your community?  There are students in all of Pennsylvania’s Catholic schools who received EITC scholarships last year. Further, public, nonpublic and nonprofit organizations receive EITC funding.  The benefits of EITC have been felt across the entire state.

On May 3, thousands of supporters of EITC will host an EITC birthday party to thank legislators for supporting this important school choice program for the past ten years. To RSVP, call 717-238-1878 or email [email protected]. Lunch is provided and buses are welcome!

This year is not only important because it marks the 10th anniversary of the EITC program, but advocates are also on the cusp of taking school choice to the next level with Senate Bill 1. SB 1 not only increases the successful EITC scholarship program but it also provides Opportunity Scholarship Grants, or vouchers, to low-income students to pay tuition at any school they choose, including a Catholic school if they wish.
