House Bill 45, the Right to Try Act, provides for the use of investigational drugs, and biological products and devices by terminally ill patients. The measure could provide hope for people who have few, if any, traditional treatment options left. HB 45 passed both chambers and was signed by Governor Wolf in October 2017. PCC and PCHA also supported Senate Bill 572 which is similar to HB 45 and Senate Bill 569 which is also similar but pertains particularly to terminally ill children under 18. Read HB 45. Read SB 569.
