The effort by Clerk of Orphan’s Court Theresa Santai Gaffney to pursue intervention to appeal the Whitewood decision had proceeded to the Supreme Court. Her petition to the U.S. Supreme Court for a stay of the Whitewood decision was denied on July 9th by Justice Alito, who is responsible for matters filed in Third Circuit cases.
