For half a century the Pennsylvania Catholic Health Association (PCHA) has been benefiting the people of Pennsylvania. Closer to home, Catholic Senior Housing and Health Care Services, Inc. (CSHHCS) is in the midst of celebrating its golden anniversary in the Diocese of Allentown.
CSHHCS traces its roots to 1963 when HFM opened as a residence for 42 older adults. Over the past half century it has grown to include services for independent living, personal care, skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, outpatient therapy and community outreach programs.
The organization serves more than 1,000 individuals each year at 11 locations, including HFM Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the nearby Grace Mansion and Trexler Pavilion personal care homes.
The ministry also includes eight senior apartment communities throughout the five-county area served by the Diocese of Allentown.
A ministry of the Diocese of Allentown, the mission of CSHHCS is to provide quality physical, emotional, social and spiritual care with respect, dignity and compassion, to meet the needs of the older adults it serves.
